Custom Tooled Leather Palm V Cover
made by Greg Gaub

At the July 18th meeting of SeaPUG, I was lucky enough to be the winner of a custom tooled leather Palm V replacement cover. This beautiful, one-of-a-kind cover was hand-crafted by Greg Gaub for this event.

It is made of two pieces of reddish-brown leather stitched together with a rubber hinge and plastic stylus-shaped attachment on one side (for attaching it to the Palm V just like the regular cover uses). The stitches are tight and the leather is high quality. After a few weeks of usage it shows no sign of coming apart or of other adverse wear. It is definitely a quality cover.

Compared to the regular cover, it is just as stiff and it is only slightly larger (wider and taller, but not thicker), so it offers the same protection as the regular Palm V cover. Unlike the regular cover, it has an intricately tooled Celtic weave pattern on the outside.

This handsome cover has drawn attention to my Palm Vx and all the comments I have received have been very positive. Since receiving this cover my old one has been collecting dust in a drawer. I am very pleased with this new cover and give it five needles out of five.

Rating: 5 needles (out of five).
