ABOUT US

Who are the Seattle Palm Users Group?

What do you want to know, really? SeaPUG members run the gamut of types of people. We've got doctors, lawyers, mothers, teachers, programmers, students, retirees, and pretty much everything in between. Just like people all around the world can be Palm users, anyone can be a member of SeaPUG. Many people are not what you might expect at a "computer" user group meeting. If you're worried about coming to a meeting because you think it might be a "geek-fest" then don't be. Sure we love our little gadgets, but we also use them to make our lives and our work easier. Rest assured that if you come to a SeaPUG meeting, you'll be welcomed with happy, smiling faces, and an eager bunch of people who want to hear what you have to say, and help you if you need any help.

Just like the SeaPUG members are all different kinds of people, each of them seem to use and enjoy a different kind of PalmOS device. Some members are still happily using "ancient" (by computer life standards ;-) Palm III devices, and some are using devices that are truly on the bleeding edge of technology, sometimes devices that were released mere days before a meeting. They use applications that cover the spectrum from games to office applications, from entertainment to vertical markets (buzz word!).

Do we have any statistics to share? Nope. And even if we did, we'd probably never give them out. It's not about the numbers. It's about the people who use the technology. It's about the people who want to learn more. And it's about the people who want to share what they know with friends and strangers alike.

We're the Seattle Palm Users Group.

Dues are not required, as we do not, and don't plan to have to pay for anything. To join SeaPUG, just go to the Mailing List page and subscribe to our mailing list on Yahoo! Groups.
