"Coming out of warp now!" The navigator exclaimed. Megatron leaned eagerly forward to view the screen.
"WHAT?!" He bellowed. For on the screen was not the planet he had been expecting.
"I am detecting... Whalesong..." Someone said. Megatron glared around, trying to find the smart alec, but they had already blended into the bridgework.
"This is Earth." The navigator said.
"I thought we were going to Cybertron!" Megatron exclaimed.
"You said Earth, I heard it." the navigator replied suddenly.
"Well you may argue with me, but you can't argue with this." Megatron snapped, raising his cannon.
"Cybertron, I'm sure." the navigator agreed, shaking nervously.
"Of course." Megatron growled. Something about this planet was vaguely familiar to him, yes. Suddenly the realization shocked through him. This was earth! Millions of years ago!
"DON'T TOUCH THAT PANEL!" He shouted, diving for the navigator. He shoved the smaller con out of the way and started flying his fingers across the controls. "YES!" He shouted, completely unaware that the rest of the bridge crew was staring at him as though he were insane. (They were half right, but at least he wasn't stupid too)
"Four groups detected. Signals identified as Maximals, Predacons, Autobots, and Decepticons." Now I can go back and redo what I failed at the first time. And with these forces, not even Optimus Primal can stop me, he thought happily. Yet I cannot appear in person, or I might cause a time paradox. Not to mention those irritating aliens don't like meddling. So I'll send someone else down instead. Though surely that someone must have no knowledge of the early Maximals or Predacons, or they would refuse. So where would I find someone so totally devoid of historical knowledge? Instantly he knew one. Lazorbeak.
"Lazorbeak, to the bridge!" He called into a nearby speaker. Nothing happened. Megatron checked to see that all the settings were correct. He targeted it with his cannon and prepared to 'fix' it.
"Ahem, that's my ear you're shouting into." said the speaker, transforming into a medium sized robot. "I'm Spark Attack, the comm officer. Let me contact Lazorbeak for you." Spark Attack was as good as his word, for a few cycles later, Lazorbeak arrived.
"What is it, Mighty-"
"Skip it." Megatron interrupted. "Everyone out!" The bridge officers muttered among themselves, but vacated. "I have another mission, of the utmost importance for you." Megatron said. "First I have to ask though, do you remember any of these names: Optimus Primal, Cheetor, Dinobot, Rhinox, Tarantulus, Terrorsaur, Rattrap, Blackarachnia, Inferno, Waspinator, Tigratron, Scorponok, or Airazor?" Lazorbeak considered a moment, then answered him.
"Uh... Scorponok was that guy back home, wasn't he? And I heard you mention Terrorsaur and Inferno."
"Excellent, yees." Megatron said. "Now here is your assignment." He had long wondered where Scorponok had popped up from, but Scorponok had always slipped out of it, and gradually he had forgotten. Now he had a possible explanation. Obviously, one of the things he did here was retrieve Scorponok. "Computer, bring up location of Predacon energy signatures." The computer displayed a very familiar-looking ship. "Ah, home sweet home." Megatron sighed. Lazorbeak looked at him in confusion. "For these Predacons, at least." Megatron added immediately. "Now, Lazorbeak. Your mission here is to take as many Predacons as you want and go help the leader of those troops, that is, me, with anything he desires. Be sure that they are thoroughly aware that they must NEVER, under ANY circumstances disclose anything about us! The same goes for you, except that you may give Megatron this message: Look at the moon. Got all that?"
"Yes."
"Then go." Lazorbeak left. The poor fool, Megatron thought to himself. He'll never know what he's getting himself into until it's too late.

What do you do now?

Go with Lazorbeak on his mission.
See what the aliens think about all this!
