Chapter 7: The Death of Pock

ZZZZZZZZZZAP!ZAP!ZAP!
SKREEEEEEEEEEEET! The Neobat yelped in pain. It quickly left Pock and soared to one of the dark corners of the bay area.
"Pock!" Limeare screamed. "Noooo!" Limeare cradled the dead body of his friend in his arms. He gently knelt and laid down Pock. "May your spark and the Matrix be one, Pock."
Limeare jumped to his feet and activated his heat sensors. He was recieving a picture of the Neobat's heavily damaged body. It's chest was heaving as it struggled to stand and fly.
Limeare leaped the stasis pods between the Neobat and himself. It flapped with all it's might but could not fly. As Limeare approached the Neobat, it snapped and growled at him. He slowly raised his right arm which had an attached flame thrower. When the weapon reached full power it beeped causing the Neobat to lunge at Limeare.
