Red Convoy piloted the autobot shuttle through the maelstrom of nebulus's asteroid field. Sandstrike sat across from him monitoring the ships systems, his fingers danced over the controls as he typed in commands. Suddenly, one of the commands wouldn't work. Frustrated with the ancient system, Sandstrike looked at Red Convoy, who seemed to be at ease working with the ship.
"Now why is it that you seem to have an easier time with this ancient floating scrap heap?" Sandstrike inquired, and tried typing in the command again.
"I've got the touch." Red said, not taking his optic sensors off the view plate. "We'll reach Alpha Destron is a few mega cycles."
"That's a relief," Sandstrike said, "I'll be happy to get there and kick turn some pred butt into a cookie sheet."
Red looked at him, puzzled. "I thought you wanted to prevent this war, Sandsrike? And not all predacons are inherently evil. That's just a crewed stereo type." Red said, speaking of Colour.
"I was talkin' about Megatron's butt anyway." He said, shaking his head. Sandstrike typed in the command one more time then something happened to the ship. The engines died. Sandstrike's first thought was, that he didn't touch anything. "I didn't touch anything, Red."
Red Convoy looked at him then got up from his seat and ran to the gun rack. Sandstrike, still sitting in his chair, watched Red grab the guns. Without question, Sandstrike caught one of the guns Red tossed to him and joined the fire fighter in the back of the ship.
"Predacons?" Asked Sandstrike, hoping to Primus that that's all it was.
"Possibly. But it could be Reconstructicons." Red told the kid.
"Reconstructicons?" Sandstrike asked.
"Yeah, they're predacon pirates bent on reconstructing the Decepticon Empire." Red Convoy told him and they waited for the pirates to board.
