Chapter 21: Reconstructicon Renegades

The door at the back of the shuttle spewed sparks from its frame as the pirates hacked their way into it with plasma arc welders. Red Convoy took a step back and motioned for Sandstrike to head to the engine compartment. The little bot took off in a hurry, leaving the battle up to Red himself.
Convoy paused for a minute as the door was nearly busted in. At the last second, he deployed his chest cannon's and aimed his blaster pistols at the pirates. A counted down the cycles until they were in. Then the door exploded inward and Red took cover around a corner.
The reconstructicons bursted through the door, even before the smoke settled. Stepping through the door first was the leader of the pirates, Galvacron. He was followed in by his second in command, Bitterstorm. Galvacron and Bitterstorm tiptoed through the back of the shuttle, aiming their blasters about. Then Bitterstorm waved in the LaserJets, the trio of Ice, Super, and Fire. The three looked apart but acted as one. Galvacron signaled for silence as they stealthy infiltrated the shuttle.
Red, who was just a few feet away from the pirates, readied his guns and spun around and fired off his chest cannons at the pirates. The pirates, surprised at the frontal attack, scattered about the hold. Red shot down Galvacron and Bitterstorm in a flash, but the LaserJets were not so easily defeated.
Iceless took cover from Red's blasters while Fire gave off protect cover for Super as he charged down the middle of the fray and took Red head on. Red held back Super as the two struggled against each other. With Red's arms busy, Ice attempted to take out the fire fighter. Red had his arms busy, but his chest cannons were free. And that was IceLess's mistake. The blasts took a direct hit on the pirate and it was knocked back against the wall.
Suppresser succumbed to Red Convoy's strength and was picked up and hurled into his brother bot, Firelaser. Firelaser dropped his weapons and collapsed beneath the bulk of the transformer on top of him.
