Toy Review:
Color Scheme:
His main colors are the blue and white colors of Railspile and Midnight Express. Some of the Rapid Run's gray can be seen in his midsection and "backpack", and the normal yellow and red accents also appear. As combiners go, this one is very well color coordinated.
Robot Mode:
I haven't measured him but he's a good nine or more inches tall, about as tall as Optimus Prime (Rid) in Ultra Robot mode, and up to Ultra Magnus' shoulders. While his component parts might have been disproportionate, the combined form takes those abnormalities and puts them togther into a well designed unit. He looks really cool, and has good articulation. My only gripe is that Rapid Run is little more than a connector for Midnight Express and Railspike. This can be forgiven, though, since a creative person can arrange Rapid Run's legs to be positioned up and over Rail Racer's shoulders and pretend they are huge shoulder cannons, aided by the thrusters on Rapid Run's feet. In fact, this is how he should be portrayed in the cartoon and as a combiner in the instructions. It's just cool!
Vehicle Mode:
He doesn't have a combined vehicle mode per-se, but in train mode each member can connect to the other in a line. The connections are loose enough that if you play with them on a smooth flat surface, you can pull the whole train alone by the front engine.
Transformation:
After following the instructions to get each pice into its appropriate configuration, it's just a matter of clipping them all together and posing it. check out the pictures for his versatility in posing. That said, it can take some carefully applied force to get the pieces together properly without diconnecting some other part.
Gimmicks:
Railspike and Midnight Express' weapons combine into a single weapon for Rail Racer, who can also hold Rapid Run's shield weapon. He is, of course, a combiner, which is a gimmick in itself.
Pros/Cons:
Over all very cool. Too bad his component pieces each cost about $15, making this a $45+ gestalt. Then again, it's a combiner of BULLET TRAINS! COOL! :)

Comments: Well, finally i found pictures from the Railracer toy, i always liked trains so i like railracer the most, i hanged on me parents legs just to give me railspike and Midnight Express (i got Rapid Run with chrismas) and suddenly they bought them for me and i have it, i was totaly messed up with the fused weapon, after seeing these pictures i finaly figured out how it works.

Now about railracer. It's a very good toy, not easy to figure out. That's the fun of it so i give it a 9 :)

Comments: This thing is awsome! He's not that messy when it comes to handleing him, but the problem is this.

1.If you compare him to the show, his proportion in size is all wrong. On the show RR looks more muscular.

2.Optimus(in basic mode) is around RR's knee height. The toy version is about shoulder hieght.

Comments: Yeah, it's me again, and I couldn't resist. I knock ANOTHER point off, not cause it's a stupid toy, god no... but I accidentally sat it next to my Devastator... further showing me what a goofy looking gestault it really is.

Comments: Good, poseable gestault, whic gets a little pricey, but considering the size of each individual train, it's kinda understandable. Nevertheless, I knock 3 pts off..

1. He has a goofy looking head
2. Midnight Express shows too much "leg"
3. Come on... when you have the original Ruination (Baldigus), how you gonna score Rail Racer higher than that?

Comments: articulation is good for a combiner-the best hand of any transformer i've seen-it opens and still makes a good fist and even still holds a weapon like normal tf's. price should be more like $12-13 each 'cause they're kind'a small for megas.
