Prowl added a new Spark engine to his configuration to improve his mobility and searching ability. With high-capacity radars on both his shoulders, he can instantly find enemies hiding in a 300 km radius. And once he finds them, they're history. He has electronic systems for jamming radios or hacking into systems.

Toy Review:
Color Scheme:
Mostly white with some black, blue, and red accents. He's a police car, so this scheme is not undesirable. His windows, while transparent, are smoke tinted, as are other parts of his form. He does, of course, have red sirens on his vehicle mode roof. In robot mode, he has a big, bold red Autobot logo on his chest. Finally, he has a couple tailfin/thruster accessories that have projectiles in the shape and color of flames coming out of a thruster.
Robot Mode:
It reminds me of a Samurai in his overall appearance, probably due to his car doors hanging off of his hips like Samurai armor does. He has broad shoulders as well, which are made with the rear section of his vehicle mode. The center of his tail section becomes a shield which is attached to one arm. The other arm has mounts for his thrusters, which can be mounted like guns. The thrusters can also be mounted on his shield, though that's not as cool. His feet are well designed to provide a lot of stability without being oversized. He's well proportioned and well articulated.
Vehicle Mode:
A Lamborghini Diablo (thanks Dan ;-) police car. Standard coolness levels apply to all Lamborghini transformers, a-la Sunstreaker and Sideswipe from G1. The thruster accessories can be mounted on his tailfins as well as on his roof as thrusters or launchers. Top it off with the ability to raise his doors as if to load or unload passengers and you have a really cool vehicle mode.
Transformation:
A tricky one at best. His legs are hidden under his hood and passenger area while his arms are tucked under his "trunk" area. The trickiest part is getting his arms into the right position when going back to vehicle mode.
Gimmicks:
His thrusters have "pinch launch" missiles, but that's about it. This toy doesn't need gimmicks to boost itself, though. It's a great toy without them, and adding gimmicks would probably do more harm than good. In fact, I'm not real fond of the launchers anyway, and use them mainly in robot mode attached to his right arm as guns.
Pros/Cons:
Great vehicle mode, great robot mode, cool looks, good colors... all around great toy.

Comments: A good toy, not perfect, but almost. Vehicle mode is very good, very solid and despite the right front tire never being able to make contact with anything, it's still good. Robot mode is nice, legs are a bit odd but it does make a lot more poseability. The weapons are a pain, they tend to fall off too easily. Transformation is dead easy, if you can't transform him then why do you have him? Still prefer the G1 version though, got that one as well just beside me waiting for me to play.

Comments: The carmode is beautiful (like al car brothers), the transformation is very nice. A little difficult, but that’s just the way i like it! Robot mode is kick ass to, but i must agree with Fred about Prowl’s gayness. Look at those legs!!! No, just kidding, this is a highly recommended toy. Same for x-brawn & sideburn.

Comments: RiD Prowl is one of my favorites. He's the least troublesome of the Autobot bros. to transform. His auto mode (a Lamborghini Diablo, not Countach as stated in the webmaster's review) reminds me of the Diaclone cop car version of Sunstreaker.

Comments: Pretty good, still want the reissue. Megatron, he isn't the same Prowl, and it seems that the comics cancel out the movie, doesn't it?

Comments: My first foray into the RID. I was skepticle being that I am an old school fan of G1 but since it wasn't some stupid animal or crappy looking vehicle that didn't exsist in the real world , I thought I'd give it a try.
When I first got it I thought the robot mode looked kinda funny on the box, too skinny. This was a turn off for me, but a small one. Transforming it was a pain and still is. It is hard to transform him into a robot without almost breaking the doors. Turning him into car mode only had the arms as a problem. I do not like having no option for the shield, I think it should have been removable.
I do like the way the legs can actually support the body to stand. I think it's also cool that the feet have been designed to resemble car seats. All in all a great toy, but I'd still rather have the g1 version. Can't wait for the reissues

Comments: That toy is the US version. He has the autobot logo on the front of the car. He is a great figure with a great amount of possibility. the fact that you can store and place in many ways is also a plus. He has a lot of detailing and has a great transformation (not too easy not too hard). Those who i have this toy, i would recommend that you fold his car parts up in robot mode. This takes away some "kibble" in robot mode. The only bad thing that i can think of for this toy is that his missles aren't spring loaded, but rather they are pressure missles (where u push them out). Still, this toy def. deserves a 10!
