A seasoned warrior, Grimlock is second in command of the construction Autobots. He looks very harsh but is really calm and upbeat. He works closely with the Construction Team leader to pass on the tactics and experience he has gained in his many battles. He can be counted on to asses every situation and come up with a good plan of action.

Toy Review:
Color Scheme:
Dark green, light green, dark grey, and light grey. Very well balanced and believable color scheme. He also has a few silver and gold accents, which are very understated, as well as an orange colored visor over his optics. I have no complaints about this design.
Robot Mode:
His legs are the treads of the backhoe. He's very well proportioned except for his forearms, which are the cab of the backhoe and part of the engine (I think). His profile is fairly slim as well, except for the gestalt connector sticking out of his back, and the backhoe itself connected to it and looming over his head. My only complaint with this mode is that his arms are awkwardly articulated. They hang down right over the top of his legs, and must be bent strangely to avoid bumping up against his legs. As a result, he can appear to be limp-wristed.
Vehicle Mode:
A construction backhoe. Very realistic. The backhoe isn't very well articulated. It doesn't bend much at all at the middle joint. He has small wheels on the underside of the fake treads that allow it to roll freely on a smooth surface. The only flaw I can see is that the treads kind of angle in towards each other... not a lot, but it's noticeable.
Transformation:
The treads extend and one half of each rotates while the ends open up to become feet. His engine section rotates, folds out and back to become his arms while his head folds down onto his shoulders. The backhoe itself disconnects from the engine section and connects to the gestalt connector on his backside. It can be a little tricky getting his legs and hip sections into the right position, but once you do he looks great.
Gimmicks:
Virtually none. He has no weapons other than his backhoe. His claws don't open and close, and nothing launches from anywhere. But, he is part of a combiner. Along with the other members of the Build Team, he combines to form Landfill. No, wait, he does have a gimmick. Hidden within his backhoe arm is a spring loaded pincher thing that uses the backhoe shovel as the other thing to pinch against. It's probably more useful in gestalt mode, though.
Pros/Cons:
Nice robot and vehicle mode, but awkward arms in robot mode can be annoying. The fact that he's one fourth of a cool combiner makes him that much more desirable.

Comments: Excellent figure. The way he transforms into robot mode is almost similar to the Constructicon Scavenger. In my opinion the name Grimlock should be known in TF history as the Leader of the Dinobots.

Comments: I think he is heaps cool because of his height, strength and his skill. But the other transformers are better because they are easier to transform. But I do enjoy playing with Grimlock
