Function: Aero-drone General
Motto: "I am not bound by the Law of the Land!"

The appointed General of Megatron's aero-drones, Jetstorm is the hotshot lord of the skies over the enslaved planet of Cybertron. Quite a talker, tends to engage in tactics of verbal intimidation. Headstrong attitude and less than modest personality often cause friction with the other generals, but impressive combat abilities speak for themselves. Outfitted with various types of energy blasters and plasma bombs. Extremely swift and maneuverable in vehicle mode. Rather flighty, Jetstorm never touches land - must convert into robot mode where he hovers over the ground.

Toy Review
Color Scheme:
He's a nice dark-blue, with yellow and red accents. His "energy burst" missiles are translucent red, and he's got some silver/grey bits. Overall, a very nice scheme.
Robot Mode:
He looks quite a bit different from his show-self, but that's ok, since this toy is so cool anyway. His only drawbacks in robot mode are how his arms are so huge. Pretty much half the jet mode is used as his forearms in robot mode. Surprisingly, it works well.
Vehicle Mode:
This is one killer jet! Again, somewhat different from his show-self, but again, that's ok. :) This is the kind of stuff we've been waiting for since Beast Wars started. One cool thing is that his wing tips can be turned forward or backward, as you can see in the vehicle mode photo insert.
Alternate Mode:
Here's where it's a little more like the show, but still not much. His legs turn and connect at the ankles, kind of, and his shins open up to show thrusters. The only problem is that it simply cannot stand on it's own in this mode. As you can see from the photo, I've got him using a clear riser to hold himself up. :)
Transformation:
As with many of the more recent toys, particularly the Beast Machines Vehicons, it's relatively involved. You pull his arms out from the side, then fold his head unit up and over his chest, while you fold his legs out from underneath, fold his body in half, fold the head unit back up and over the chest, then use the plates on this arms to lock the body together, and the legs on the side of the cockpit to lock them on. Not for the faint of heart... I actually popped half his body off the first time, hehe.
Gimmicks:
Of course, he's got missiles, one on each side. His spark is visible under a hatch on the top of the jet (or back of the robot), both his jet cockpit and robot head have the "reflected light" glowing eyes gimmick. To top it off, his jet cockpit can extend and "look" side to side like he does in the show.
Pros/Cons:
My only quibble is that he doesn't look like his cartoon counterpart by much more than he's a jet and a robot (in hover mode). Other than that, he kicks hella slag, go buy him NOW! :)

Comments: Jet mode is very detailed, both robot modes are cool but can be hard to transform him, a worthy BM purchase.
