Toy Review: This guy just exudes brute strength. It's a good thing his main function is BFGs for Optimus Prime. He also does admirably as a shuttle carrier for Jetfire, presumably prior to launch. I love his robot mode, though, as most people who like this toy do. I probably should have waited for the Ultra Magnus style colors that are planned for the Energon line recolor of this toy, but I like it just the same. Rollout is a neat Mini-Con. Easily one of the biggest (if not THE biggest Mini-Con of all time), he serves as both the head of Overload, and as an individual Mini-Con. In fact, Overload might very well be nothing more than the guns and armor with Rollout controlling them when they are not being used by Prime. Character related stuff aside, I think it's a good toy. It even makes a VERY satisfying transformation sound, just like the original transformation sound from G1. He simply belongs on the shelf in robot mode, ready to make his cool noise. :)

Added by: stinhed on October 20, 2003 Rated it: Comments: you must get him if you have jetfire and optimus. lacks articulation but looks cool in all modes. the super optimus weapon mode is cool but is hard to keep attached to optimus correctly w/o coming loose. really the only problem is too much red. the train mode is cool with all three.

He has a chunky but well proportioned robot mode and his vehicle mode is once again a red brick on wheels. I will admit, his transformation sound is great but why only have 1 sound? I mean that's it he had one good sound and that was it. I would have loved to have had another couple of sounds or explosions put in there though. Moving on Roll-out is a great mini-con. He is large and bulky just like Overload, there a great match ;) His base and combined mode are also excellent, but his colour scheme lacked thought in my mind. It's tomato red, and that's it. How ever he is good enough to have convinced me to put away $45AU for his Powerlinx UM version. Who will also come with the Space team redo :) His part in the super train mode is also good. Lost points for his lack of possibility, and simple colour scheme.
