Pre-registration is required. Registration allows us to figure out how much food to get and swag bags to prepare. If you don't register, you CANNOT attend! After filling out this form, proceed to the payment section below for payment options. Snail-mail payment is preferred, but I can accept any PayPal payments. Attendees and Dealers receive the same packet, but Dealers pay extra for their table/space. We're sorry for the price increase, but the Convention Center has raised their prices. MAKE SURE ALL INFORMATION IS CORRECT!!
Attendee registration includes the attendee packet (such as it may be), raffle tickets, food, and drink. Dealer registration includes one Attendee package plus one table area. Each person attending must register and pay, though children 3 and under are free (please add a note if you register a child 3 or under). Dealers wanting more than one table will need to purchase additional Dealer registrations, or register your helpers as dealers until your needed number of tables is reached. Registration is NOT complete until payment is received. I will confirm that payment was received via e-mail. Please note that registration fees are NOT refundable, and registration packets will NOT be mailed to no-shows. If you register and pay in advance, but discover that you cannot attend, you can transfer your registration to another person by e-mailing me PRIOR to the convention date. Only one attendee packet per person, so no getting a friend to pick it up for you. To send payment, please use one of the following methods:
- Snail Mail - PREFERRED
- If you chose to pay by mail, I will e-mail you my address to send payment to.
- PayPal
-
- At the door
- DOOR PRICES ARE HIGHER THAN PRE-PAYMENT! (See above) If you are unable to pay in advance, you may still pay at the door on the day of the convention. Please note that unregistered guests are not allowed. If it is at all possible, PLEASE register and pay in advance via PayPal or Snail-Mail.
- Rules subject to change up to one week prior to event.
- Global Rules
-
- There will be TWO age groups: "Kid Class" who are 10 years old or younger; "Adult Class" who are 11 years old or older.
- Sign up sheets will be available from the show opening until the contest begins. Slots are limited, so sign up early to ensure your spot. Due to time limitations, additional slots can NOT be made available.
- Contests are all SINGLE-ELIMINATION. Contestants will be paired together for each round. The loser of each round is eliminated, and the winner moves to the next round to compete against another winner until all but two contestants are eliminated. The winner of the final round claims the prize for that contest.
- Toy Transforming Contest
- Competitors shall transform the toy from alternate mode to robot mode as quickly as possible. Transformation is considered complete when all transformation actions have been accomplished according to available transformation instructions, and the toy is set down on the table in a stable standing position. Contestants will then transform the toy(s) back to the alternate mode for the next contestants.
- Trivia Contest
- The first contestant to answer incorrectly, or not at all is eliminated. Questions will be taken from the EASY category unless escalation is needed. A new "kid" category will also be developed. Questions will increase in difficulty if two players remain engaged for multiple questions. For the FINAL ROUND, an incorrectly answered question must first be answered correctly by the other player for him/her to be declared the winner. Trivia will span MANY TF generations and media, so those with the best all around knowledge should have the best chance of winning.
- Beast Wars Transmetals (PS1 game) Tournament
- Each pair of contestants competes in a best 2 out of 3 round bout where the loser is eliminated. There will be no restrictions on chosen characters, but all battles will take place on the same battlefield (to be determined).
- NEW!! Transformers Armada Battle for Cybertron Board Game Tournament
- Each pair of contestants plays one game with their choice of character where the loser is eliminated. There will be no restrictions on chosen characters, but all battles will take place on the same battlefield (to be determined). For the Kid Class, a single parent or friend may assist the player, but only in the following of rules. Strategic decisions must be made by the Kid. DOWNLOAD THE RULES HERE
- THERE WILL BE NO SECURITY AVAILABLE!!
- Well, we'll set up some tables on their sides to make it hard for people to pocket your toys, but as we cannot guarantee protection, we won't say your stuff is 100% safe, either.
- Art Display and Contest
-
- Any kind of art with a TF theme can be displayed.
- This is a family friendly event, so please keep it clean.
- Artists may deliver work during the dealer set up to the art table(s), but must leave once delivery and/or set up is complete unless they are also a dealer or dealer's helper. You can deliver your work late, but that will also reduce your chances of winning the contest.
- No limitations on size or type.
- 3-D Art: Please bring a small A-card with artist and title information to place in front of the work.
- 2-D Art: Art should have a stable frame and an easel, such as a decorative plate stand, so that it can be set on the table rather than hung on the wall. Art should have a card in the lower right corner of the frame with artist and title information.
- Contest will be "fan favorite" style with a simple voting box (one voting slip per attendee).
- Prize TBD, if anything. Show your stuff to share, not to win. ;-)
- Toy Display
- Got some really weird, interesting, or rare TF toy or artifact? Share it with other CybCon attendees, then! If you have a tabletop case to show it in, even better. As we cannot offer any security for your treasure, we cannot encourage this particular display too much, but we don't really need a display of stuff everyone has, either. ;-)
