The drill is often used to drill holes, screw in hardware, and, with a slicker attachment, to burnish the edges of leather projects. Occassionally I will use it to drill out a rivet that is misplaced, needs replacing, or to disassemble a project for repair. As well as the plumb/level, it is used mainly for other household chores, I just needed a good place to put it!
