Tooled Neckties

The "neckties" are an original design by me. I thought it would be fun to create a wearable piece of tooled leather in the form of a necktie. I used a clip on tie as a pseudo-pattern, cut out pieces of leather and experimented until I got the shapes right to be assembled into what you see here. They are worn similar to a bolo tie in that a cord is attached to the back of the tie through a locking slide/clip. Shirt collars hide any sign that the tie is not actually tied. The leftmost design is one in which I incorporated leather lacing and intricate tooling. In the center is a simple black tie, and the tie on the right holds a traditional western floral design.
