Chapter 13: To the Disks.....

" No wait, if they see you were both dead. Stay here and let's see what they do first." Crash Pad told the Jet. She kneelt beside him and they watched. Dark Star hissed and shut her eyes as if she were trying to calm her nerves. It had been a while since she had fought like this and here circuts and gears were rusty for lack of use. Sky Jack slowly pushed open the doors to the main valt. He stopped and stared with awe. Hundreds upon hundreds of screens lined the walls. Each showing a different planet and in the center screen was Cyberton.
" A glowing tribute to our home world I see. " He snorted as Dark Star slipped under his arm. He paused and looked at her face. It had become tired and for just an instance sad. Then she shook it off like she would if it were a droplet of water. " We ruled once. And we shall again. This I know. Once we have control all the world shall be ours. Decepticons Forever!"
" Spare me your sentimentality." Dark Star sneered. Sky Jack took a step back, knowing full well that she could shoot him in an instant." Cyberton was never ours. It was the Quints, it was their factory. It was theirs not yours. You pitiful robots with your wanting of independace. What good did it do you, year after year of war. Where the Quintesson gave you life, you took theirs. You consumed the energy so fast from these wars that you had to send your men out for more. And look what it brought you more pain. Your leader Megatron was lost, then became an insane Glavatron. Then came Omegatron, and then Megatron the second whom tried to destroy that planet. They gave you life and you have squandered it time and time again. No more! I will make sure of it."
With that she turned and headed for the command center of the room. Sky Jack followed, not to closly though just in the off chance that the room had been set up for traps. Dark Star paid him no heed as she pluged further down to the core of the base. Her sensors tingled as she heard the humming sound of the generator. They were in there, she was sure of it. She could feel the engery pulse though her, and a triumphant smile toyed by her stoic mouth. Sky Jack watched her carefully, thoughts corsed though his brain. Evil thoughts, thoughts of murder and then of accalades. He paused for a moment and pondered. " What...what if these disks hold some sort of secret wepon designed to destroy Cyberton. If I can get my hands on such a thing, I will become invinciable. Who could stop me then. Yesssss! I Shall do it! I shall let her lead me to the disks, and .... But wait. What if they are not to a wepon, what if they are something else then what. Humm......I must know what she knows, but how....."
" What are you talking about?" Sky Jack suddenly pried, he knew full well that Dark Star wouldn't give up the chance to glot to him. She always had during the war on earth, why not now. He contunied, " Why are these disks so important to you? "
She turned and faced him. Her red eyes in the darkness was a fearful sight indeeed. She taunted, " Why should you care Sky Jack? I thought you wanted to turn over a new leaf, start freshs as some one we could trust. Not the Traitor you were....."
" That was years ago...." He tried to explain, " Nothing to get upset over. I am just wondering why we are going though all this trouble to get these disks."
Dark Star just turned and walked away. She did not belive him one bit and this above all was her fear. He had commited acts of treason years ago, and in one attempt he tried to kill her himself. But that was over, or so he wanted her to belive. " Just to be safe I better keep my miniture sholder cannon trained on him." She thought to her self.
Back out side Crash Pad was still wondering if they should follow the two killers inside. Suddenly the Jet jumped up and raced toward the door.
" Wait up! What are you doing?" He watched as she took out a small bomb and set it. Then she whispered to him.
" Finishing what I should have along time ago."
