In a twisted corner of our galaxy, a portal twirled in the middle of a nebula. Through it, one entered the quasi energy domain of the creatures known as the Vok. They called this place the nexus, as it linked both past and future allowing them to travel freely in both. In this place they saw the infinite possibilities of the timeline. Because of this, they had appointed themselves the guardians of time, and set about correcting some of it's greatest tradgedies. For any other race, this might have proven a daunting task. Changing one event might lead to many others that were even worse. The Vok however, where immortal, and as they existed outside of the normal timestream, they quite literally had all the time in the world to get it right.

One such tradgedy they had tried to avert was the increadable amount of destruction visited on the planet Earth by a non native race from Cybertron. They had attempted to accelerate humanities evolution, so they would be better prepared to meet the threat that both the Autobots and Decepticons represented. However a group of the afformentioned Transformers traveled back in time, and engaged in a private war that all but disrupted the project. Despite several attemtps to correct the damage and destroy the intruders, they ended their war and escaped back to their own time. Or so it seemed. As I mentioned, the Vok are patient, but not very forgiving. For the crime of disrupting the timeline there can be only one punishment, and the Vok hold both sides responsible.
