Chapter 5: A battle long remembered

You shadow the dark 'bot until he reaches a squat building with no windows. He pounds on the only door and talks briefly with a guard before being let in. Seeing no other choice, you pull out your plasma rifle and put your foot in the door as it is closing.

"What the?" asks the guard as he opens the portal and sticks his head out. You do not pass up the opportunity. You step over the guards body and nibly avoid the head around the corner as the klaxons in the barracks go off. You slide into a small olcove in one of the walls and wait for the unavoidable adversaries. A huge 'bot with a shoulder mounted cannon runs past your position without noticing you. You calmly step out and take his head off with a single shot.

"What do yoku mean we have an intruder?" yells a slimy voice. You recognise it as the voice of Black Zarak. Shadows dancing on the far wall alert you of your adversaries approach. Zarak strides around the corner with a heavy machine rifle clutched in one hand, flanked by the rest of the barrack's inhabitants. You calmly step out of the alcove, confidant that your training will see you through this.

"Wha... Is this our intruder?" laughs Zarak at his second in command.

"Uh, I guess so, sir." replies the small blue 'bot.

"Funny." comments Blazk Zarak as he braces himself and points the machine rifle at you. You clutch your rifle more tightly, the timing on this move is going to have to be perfect. Just as the towering black 'bot fires, you spin to one side and squeeze off two well placed shots. You land upright as Black Zarak sees the energy bursts fly past him.

"Ha!" he laughs, "Next time, make sure you hit your target!"

Now, it is your turn to laugh as you reply, "I did, slag-for-brains!"

"Huh?" he grunts, then looks around. His startled optics fall upon the colapsed bodies of his second in command and the other 'bot he brought with him. He looks at you with fear in his optics as you advance slowly.

His death is swift, a luxury that scum like his don't deserve. You walk down the hall Zarak had come from and happen upon a advanced communications room. You sling your rifle and walk over to a transmitter, just as it springs to life.

"Vengence to base! Vengence to base! Come in!"

What do you do now?

Tell them that their "base's" number had been disconected.
Try to fake being one of hte guards.
