Chapter 12: A battle ensues..

Sandstrike nods to Abyss and Cheetor. "Lets go find out whats going on." The Maximal points down a hallway on the transport, hopefully leading eventually to Rodimus, and more importantly, the answer to whats going on. Obviously ignoring the quick exchange of insults earlier, the group make their way down a dark corridor, klaxons sounding and red lights flashing. The ship underneath them rocks violently, and an audible boom echos through the ship. Cheetor drops down into his Technorganic form, and sprints off into the darkened hallway. Abyss stumbles slightly from the rocking, and Sandstrike quickly grabs her elbow, and they stop in the corridor.
"Thanks," Abyss sighs, shaking her leg slightly, "Its getting awfully hot in here, isn't it?" Needing water for her aquatic mode, she has begun to become increasingly discomforted.
Shrugging, Sandstrike pulls Abyss forward, "We've got to get going.." he urges.
Cheetor, who had continued on while Sandstrike and Abyss had stopped, returns, jogging quickly down the darkened hallway. "I couldn't find Rodimus down this well in any of the stations, slow-pokes, I'd say we go that-a-way. As in, now!" Another blast erupts somewhere on the ship, it once again shaking underneath them.
An injured soldier appears from one of the side-corridors down the hallway from them, and falls to the ground in a heap. Badly burned, who knows what happened to the others in that station, Sandstrike notes to himself.
"One of us should take Abyss and any wounded soldiers, and get them to a medical officer!" Sandstrike yells to Cheetor over the noise and smoke filling the ship.
"Remember your place in the command scheme, lizard-boy!" Cheetor calls back. He transforms into his robot mode, and looks at the side-corridor leading to the station where the soldier has fallen warily, yelling "And one of us should go in there and see whats going on! Or find Prime!"
